Men's soccer sets Fall ID Clinic for October 13th

LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates men's soccer head coach Tyler Sheikh announced Thursday that the program's annual Fall ID Clinic is set for Sunday, October 13th at 9am.  

The ID clinic is designed for prospective male college players (High School grades 9-12) looking for an elite "Little Ivy" and NESCAC education coupled with a high level soccer experience. Campers will be offered technical sessions, tactical sessions and game action where they will have the opportunity to be seen by Bates staff and other college coaches.

Bates College players identified at past camps include 2018 All-NESCAC midfielder Peder Bakken (Seattle, Wash.) and 2017 All-NESCAC striker Nate Merchant (Los Angeles, Calif.). Other former attendees have gone on to play at the D3, D2, D1 and professional levels.

Fall ID Clinic Schedule  

  • 8:30AM: Check in 
  • 9:30AM - 11:30AM: Session 1 - Technical/Small Sided
  • 11:45AM - 12:30PM: Lunch
  • 12:40PM - 1:40PM: Admission talk/ "Being a Bobcat"
  • 1:40PM - 2:40PM: Tour with Bobcat players
  • 3PM - 5PM: Session 2 - 11v11 Games
  • 5:30PM: Closing remarks
